Periscope has become a new marketing gadget that Twitter has purchased last year. For those who are not familiar with this name, I’d like to talk a little about what it is, how it works and how it can be used to grow your audience. Let’s start from the beginning: Periscope is a live streaming video app that was purchased back in 2015 by Twitter that can be used on mobile. There is a guide for first timers within the app that walks you through the process with a tutorial. This is especially important for those who might be new to Periscope and don’t have much experience with live-streaming to audiences.

 

 

Using Periscope to grow your audience
Simply put, no matter where you go, or where you’re at, Periscope allows you to live feed with all those who’re following you. Not only you can live stream, but it can share your location as well as enable you to receive notifications while streaming as well. The broadcast is good for up to twenty-four hours in which users can leave comments and feedback. After that time, the videos are removed from the app. Users do, however, have an option of saving the video to their mobile devices and then sharing them via social media later on.
